WEDNESDAY MUSICDAY | ME MYSELF AND I

WEDNESDAY MUSICDAY DUTCH BANDS
Welcome to wednesday musicday on MyLifeAsLisa!
In this update I will tell you more about (upcoming) dutch bands. The Netherlands have so many good bands from all different genres so here you'll learn a bit about them. And just so you know; there are way more (and some better) bands than these, but these are the bands that are currently very important for the dutch music fans. They are all (indie)rockbands and I've decided to not put a band like Kane in a post like this 'cause you can't compare these bands to a band like Kane.
Oh and please excuse my english, it's really hard for me to write things like these at 10 in the morning haha.

Destine.
Destine is a dutch rockband from Tilburg formed in 2006, so far they've released one album called Lightspeed. They have been support acts for bands as McFly, Fall Out boy and All Time Low. Their album was recorded in the United States of America and they have performed on big dutch festivals as Lowlands(2009) and Pinkpop(2010). 2011 is gonna be their year, they've already toured through Japan and Indonesia is next. Kensington.
Kensington is a dutch indie rockband from Utrecht. They were Serious Talent 3FM in 2010 and they've been support acts for bands as Razorlight, My Chemical Romance and The Wombats which is pretty awesome. In 2010 they released their first album called Borders which is still a huge succes. They're now working on their second album. Their latest single Let Go which was recorded in Berlin and mastered in New York is their opening to worldwide succes. They're now on their way to Indonesia to do some festivals out there. I bet Kensington is gonna take over the entire world. Check out their first single Youth right here;

The Medics.
The Medics is a dutch indie rockband also from Utrecht formed in 2008. They were Serious Talent 3FM in 2010 and they're now on their way to capture the dutch music. They have shared the stage with bands like Go Back To The Zoo, Kensington and Rigby. Once The Medics start playing their songs, everybody's dancing. Their songs are powerful, extremely catchy and good to sing along with. Their debut album Dance Into The Dark will be released on the 29th of august. I can't wait! Their albumtour starts in september. Check out their newest single Explode right here;

MakeBelieve.
MakeBelieve is a dutch rockband formed in 2006 by Pim de Mol(drummer) and Joey Dussel(Singer). They're inspired by bands as Paramore and Boys Like Girls. But their music is more commercial with catchy poppy songs and so they are quite famous in The Netherlands and they have a lot of fans out here. In 2008 there was a competition on TMF to be support act for 30 Seconds To Mars. And they did win this competition, this was their first step to succes. In the beginning of 2010 they organised a tour with Destine and Only Seven Left, which was a great succes as ALL of the shows got completely sold out! Their EP City Lights is now released and you can check out their newest single Summerbeat right here;

Only Seven Left, a dutch piano rockband formed in 2005 which makes them the ''oldest'' band from all of these. They released their ep in 2007 called Forever Is A Lie. They have switched from leadsinger and most of the people think Only Seven Left is now better than ever. They have supported bands as Tokio Hotel, Metro Station and Destine. At September 24 they've released their debut album called It Was All A Dream. They also had a albumtour which was completely sold out, and if you can reach that with your band, then you're really starting to get famous. Check out their newest single The Moonlight Sky right here;
